The Trump administration has deployed the California National Guard in response to protests in Los Angeles that began Friday evening over immigration enforcement operations, which resulted in some clashes between demonstrators and authorities, the White House said in a statement.

President Donald Trump signed a memorandum "deploying 2,000 National Guardsmen to address the lawlessness" in California as demonstrations opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations continue in the state, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement Saturday evening.

Earlier Saturday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said the federal government was moving to "take over the California National Guard," calling the move "purposefully inflammatory" and saying it will "only escalate tensions."

Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom's office told ABC News Sunday morning that about 300 National Guard troops are on the ground there, far fewer than the 2,000 the White House said had been deployed in their Saturday-evening statement.

So stop with the "Red Dawn" fantasies. He'd have to get the military to go along. Not just Boozy Boy. He's a figure head and his minions barely scratch the surface of the military command structure, which is chock full of "Mark Milleys" and scattered all over the world. The rank and file officers and enlisted are not some goddamn wind up monolith. That's simplistic thinking. Those people are America and America is them. Thus, it won't happen.

But even if by some weird twist it does. They could very well do the crackdown on the morning of June 14th regardless of what happens in LA today. It's not like that's some super high level secret. Or June 15th. Or whenever. And if so, what have you accomplished? No more than the what the people of LA are accomplishing right now.

These people didn't join to defend the Constitution. They joined because they are authoritarians, just like Cheetolini. They've been salivating for the chance to crack the skulls of unarmed people.

And this is why protesting in the streets is pointless and suicidal. The only way we should be protesting is through boycotts. Hit the oligarchs in their bank accounts, where they'll feel it. Don't give the military/police thugs the opportunity to live out their police brutality fantasies.
