The mid-term elections would be postponed. Being that with all the violence - no free and fair election can be expected to run smoothly. The election would only cause more street violence. Once Martial Law is rescinded - then and only then would holding an election be possible.
During the interim of Martial Law expect the last vestiges of American Democracy to whither and disappear. Authoritarianism and Christo-Fascist Theocracy will rule the day into the foreseeable future.
American Democracy had a nice run,.... but unfortunately it out lived its usefulness. American voters gave Donald J. tRUMP a mandate - stomp out wokness - and usher in a new day where Fascism is the new and only permissible political fashion.
