The neo con dream that regime change in one country could lead to a successful democracy that would lead to a reset of the troubled MiddleEast never made sense.

Iran is even tougher. It is bigger than Iraq, more homogeneous, and unlike many countries in the Middleeast, it has a distinct culture that even people who hate the ayatollah hold dear.
