Yesterday

20% of the world's oil goes through Hormuz and yes the US can develop Venezuelan oil to counter that, but that will take some time.

Also, more than just oil tankers go through Hormuz, cargo ships also go through which will cause shortages.

I don't believe that the US or Israel had planned for Hormuz to be shut down for this long. Your statement about oil going through Hormuz being replaced elsewhere is valid, however, in the short term if Hormuz is still down on the 4th of July the shit is going to hit the fan across the world.

Maybe it wasn't Delcy who gave out the information about Maduro that led to his capture but someone on the inside did. Delcy can still rally the people if she wasn't the mole, but Venezuela isn't Iran military-wise. Delcy was pretty quick to cut oil deals.
