hasn't caught up to the fact that legacy news organizations have become a tool of the billionaire class to
promote propaganda. The billionaires don't care about "news craft." They don't care about the "family" of 60 minutes. Our extreme wealth class have so much money that these news organizations (which are just part of a larger group of acquisitions) can actually be run at a loss as long as they are useful sock puppets. Hence the purpose of legacy news is now to drive public opinion to positions that are favorable to billionaires. Let's face it, most legacy news for some time has lapsed into bothsiderism. That wasn't good enough because what the billionaires are doing, e.g., data centers, etc., is objectively unpopular for citizens of whatever political persuasion. So, they've turned the propaganda machine up to 11 to compensate. They'll go after independent (non biased) web based news next - even if it takes controlling the internet at a granular level. By controlling, I mean internet providers for example, throttling access to certain undesirable sites. The take away is that we have a class which has successfully hedged their wealth to the extent it would take a natural disaster or economic collapse so significant it would mean the death of perhaps even billions, to unset them. I'm not willing to sit around and wait for that to happen.
