I liked those Gideon books by Douglas Preston, hermetic.

I finished The Power of the Dog by Thomas Savage. Wow! Some conclusion! This Thomas Savage is special. I read the Afterword by Annie Proulx. If you aren't going to read the Afterword don't even bother to read the book. Seriously, it is that significant. Now I want to try an Annie Proulx book. Thank you, japple!

Now I'm reading The Ploughmen by Kim Zupan. This has my attention. No drop off after The Power of the Dog!

Mrs. Enthusiast finished Day of Atonement by Faye Kellerman. She liked it. Then she read The Chessmen by Peter May. She felt like I did after The Chessmen. We found it hard to start a new book. Thank you for introducing us to Peter May, scarletwoman!

But she has managed to start a new book. Now she is reading False Prophet by Faye Kellerman.
