Dem leadership plan was to wait until 2026 until voters cried ......

sad to say .....but looks like this was their plan - the senate dems were all voting for Trump cabinet secretary nominees........
or at least some of them.......

someone on here posted list of 15 dem senators that voted for Treasury secretary....who immed turned around
to give Musk access to payment info

what did klobuchar say ....will work with them where we can .....a sentiment shared by many ...not just her
....total capitulation by all of them....

where are the dems trying to get courts to stop musk..........their big effort is to attend rallies
that voters have organized......wow....what leaders

until Dem Voters piped up and shouted .....there was no urgency or plan.....

trump sent in MUSK because he knew he could.........and get away with it.....that's how
transparent the Dem weakness is......

Schumer and Hakeem - wow.....go along to get along..
Harris, Obama, Pelosi.......Biden......crickets!!! anyone still awake ...?

still no plan ....... they attend rallies that voters put together.....
they are reacting .....not being pro-active .......no offense being organized .....only defense and minimal
at that.....unless they're keeping it a secret .......

these dems might be ok when no one is rocking the boat but most of them are not
the people/reps/senators for the moment ...........

sadly Dem politicians are not fighters , nor are they messengers

voters want fighters.......which is part of reason they voted for Trump........

Biden only gave press conferences like once every 3 or 4 months if that....and very few
actually campaigned until a couple months before election

Although Biden did very excellent work behind the scenes......the public never knew
what he did for them.......... communication is part of the job and trump excels at that
though lies they may be ....but he gives a message over and over so that everyone knows
what he is about .......

I see no real pushback from any of the dem leadership other than slogans and shouting stuff at rallies that
they did not organize ................

still waiting for the dem cavalry!! think I'll take a nap till 2026 ........not sure I'll find a USA that I recognize when I awaken .......

the dem cavalry should include Digital platform(s) of some type that reaches everyone and posts progress so
voters know what the heck is going on for them........... and include alot of young tech savy dems who are
trying to get into leadership roles but instead are pushed aside for seniority to old timers who are used to
their perks and won't change their ways...... no change? no win!!!

can't they at least hire a smart young marketing firm to do this ??? and centralize new modern messaging ?
create platforms ??

Thu Feb 6, 2025, 11:16 AM

is the fact that it appears there was no Plan B in the event we did lose the election. Plan C was a failure since it looks like the leadership group sat on their collective hands after the election and had no path forward to fight once the Dotard was sworn into office.

At this point I am not sure how we get out of this nightmare. It really has put a dark cloud over the dem party in my own mind. It is only going to get worse from here and it appears we are just rolling over. Yes, Town Halls are great but these needed to happen well before the inauguration. It is getting to the point where I know lifelong Dems that are switching to Independent in my home state of PA which is not a good thing.

I can't get my head around it either and it is one of my biggest disappointments in our party and elected leaders. Did they not believe their own hype throughout the election?

What? No worst case scenario exercises? I live in a college town where there have been some events that have gotten out of control. Ever since, there's been a bunch of local government types and "stakeholders" on a committee that seem to get off on doing annual tabletop exercises to prep for the possibility partiers might spill into the streets and couches set ablaze. They've been annually disappointed in recent years but, boy, do they look forward to the planning and press conferences talking about how prepared they are.

If we get out of this pickle, I want to know the next generation of leaders is prepared to not just represent us, but look out for, protect us, too! Competently.

The other side does it for their people.

To assault our democratic institutions on Day One (he vowed to be a dictator on Day One, nobody can claim they didn’t know), why do they appear to be off to such a slow start?

They should have been making plans to become an opposition party immediately after Harris conceded.

I admit it’s got me in a bad headspace with Dem leadership too.

They let W steal the 2000 election from Al Gore and acted like it was a normal election which it wasn't. Then they ran the same Bush anti-democracy coup against Biden during the 2024 dem party Presidential primary while trying to claim that the dem party was the party protecting democracy. The dem party leadership has allowed the broad daylight disenfranchisement of millions of American voters. This has caused millions of Americans to give up on democracy and vote for a dictator

Count me as another one that thinks this constant criticism of Democrats only serves to empower Republicans. It happened before the election and we saw the results, and people are now blaming Democrats -- who are completely out of power, thanks to the voters themselves -- for not stopping Republicans from doing things Democrats have little to no power to stop them from doing.

I'm all for DU getting back to its root and supporting Democrats rather than seeing some new posters constantly criticize them while never posting a negative thing about Republicans (have you checked their posting history? I have...).

That spectator Sports model is doomed to failure because the world is full of anti-democracy actors.

The more aroused and active we are, the more empowered our legal representatives.

We must build and present the vision, set the course, and choose our captains and crew.

Fortunately we have many talented representatives who will rise to the occasion.

Some will not and they can be dealt with in upcoming election cycles.

Thu Feb 6, 2025, 03:07 PM
Feb 2025

Please expound on the lesson Democrats must learn. Democrats did not vote for a convicted felony to occupy the White House. They did not vote for a person that was responsible for the deaths of over 1 million people during the Covid Pandemic. They did not vote for a person that lies every time he opens his mouth, or is an adjudicated rapist.

Democrats believe that everyone should have the opportunity to progress in this life. Democrats do not push HATRED as their MAIN SUBJECT, that WHITE PEOPLE are superior to non-white people.

So tell us what lessons should they learn that it is better to promote hatred of your fellow Americans, or that lying is the way you get over in life, that corruption is okay??

Think. Again.

36. Let the new generation represent...
Thu Feb 6, 2025, 01:31 PM
Feb 2025

I know some of you might take issue with me for not having a stronger presence here, but I’ve been a paid member for years (since the site first launched) and left right after the hack in November 2015, just after Trump was elected.

That said, I've been noticing a troubling trend where some of you seem hesitant to let younger voices take the reins. It's disappointing to see. By dismissing voices like AOC or Jasmine Crockett as "too young," you’re effectively reinforcing the same old patterns and giving the establishment a pass. The younger generation should already be the face and the voice of the party. Frankly, this should’ve happened yesterday, but some of you still insist they need to "pay their dues." Enough of that.

We sat on our hands in 2016 by running Hillary. I know you’ll cut me off and tell me it was "her turn," and how she was great for the party. I get that. But as someone who’s been a long-time member and lurker, a Gen Xer, and someone who lives in a red state, I’ll tell you—Hillary was tainted by the '90s, and no amount of campaigning was going to change that. Yes, I voted for her, but I knew even back then that we were fighting an uphill battle because of the baggage she carried.

We had a real chance with Bernie Sanders, and though I know he’s not the favorite here, I truly believe we'd be in a much better place today if we’d backed him. What really struck me as disappointing was seeing how many of you shot down a poster just yesterday for advocating for young leadership. You even told him to post about it elsewhere—like in the “A Way Forward” forum that was recently set up.

People, wake up. The only ones who can really push back and fight the fight effectively are the younger generation. They understand how the game is played in today’s political landscape. It’s time for the current leadership to step aside and make way for the future.

Here's something we should all watch. I cannot post it in video yet so I will post it here.
