I'm no lawyer, but I have an argument for them: It is spelled out clearly in our Constitution.

So does that mean Russian birth tourism in U.S. is shut down and all those babies are sent back to Russia??

(24,106 posts)5. That's the way it works. SCOTUS hears oral arguments then eventually makes a ruling.
They don't make a decision out of thin air as much as we wish they might.

An entire Constitutional ammendment.
If that happens can we agree that they're a lawless and illegitimate body?
