Until then I'll consider her an ally that I don't fully trust.

Just my 2 cents...

I do believe that she's at the apex of a very narrow river. As much as WE hate her father... and with oh, so many good reasons to do so... we have to remember he IS her father. Denouncing the repugs means denouncing her father. I also believe she has grown up with ideas that are completely alien to us, but which have formed her foundation of belief. I don't like her, personally, because she does stand as anathema to everything I believe; but I'm willing ally with her to get this country back on the democratic highway. And I have to admit, Darth Cheney or not, she HAS been brave... braver than any other republican I've seen. She's gone farther in her words and actions than any of them. I just really wish we could open her eyes fully, and blast that concrete foundation out from under her.

My take is she is our "ally" only in the instances she decides it will continue to empower her long term personal power agenda.

We keep friends close... and duplicitous "allies" closer...

Just my 2 cents...

Happy Monday to ya' slightlv!

could be clearer, simpler, and more forthright... but you take your allies where you can find them, I guess. I consider her an ally where trump is concerned... and wonder the line she must toe with respect to her father. Of course, even HE came out against trump, much to my surprise, since he was one of the first huge pushers of "unitary executive". Who said, "Trust, but verify"? I guess that describes Liz to me. It's not just our politics that differs... it's a fundamental difference in understanding the nature of man.

If I understand correctly, the judge ruled that he does not have the authority to stop the deportations and will leave it to the Fifth Circuit.

to consider sending american citizens to foreign countries to serve prison sentences. this has the potential to be the epitome of "cruel and unusual punishment," and is illegal by federal law.
