Tr*mp: "Egg prices are getting too low"

Donald Trump has shared his most recent thoughts on the cost of eggs in the United States.

While at the White House in Washington, D.C., on Friday, April 18, the president, 78, reacted to egg prices and the current state of the economy while speaking with press after Dr. Mehmet Oz was sworn in as the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

What frikken reality is he living in? I'd bet $50 he's never purchased a dozen eggs in his miserable life.

12. I stopped buying eggs a long time ago. They were already too expensive.

It was also too much of a hassle to prepare before I went to work. I also would only get cruelty-free organic eggs. I can’t bear to get eggs from mistreated animals. I try to avoid a lot of meat also. It gets expensive.

At a Fred Myers (Kroger) and the generic Kroger eggs were $6.50 and the most expensive were $11.
That is more expensive than just the week before.

Trying to make a claim that egg prices have dropped over 80% is absolutely batshit crazy to say.

Price of eggs Jan 20, 2025 were $6.32. he claimed that egg prices have dropped 87%- in the real world they have increased 19% since he took office.

I’ll never forget the first … day, first week in office, they were screaming at me about eggs. I said, ‘What’s going with eggs?’ They were doubling and tripling. I said, ‘I just got here.’ They were up like double, triple, and you couldn’t get any,” Trump said Friday.

He acts like he didn't hear about egg prices before he got into office. In the real world, he campaigned on them.

In that same speech he also claimed that gas prices are below $2 a gallon in some states. The lowest price is $2.69 in Mississippi.
