Texas schools nix lesson over Virginia state flag's exposed breast

Texas has prohibited an online lesson created by Texas schools that portrayed an image of the state flag of Virginia because the image of the Goddess of Virtue on the flag shows one uncovered breast. Their educational priorities seem a bit warped, to say the least. It's also a bit ironic, considering we have just reached the 250th anniversary of "the shot heard round the world" that started the American War of Independence. Virginia's flag, adopted in 1776, declares "thus always to tyrants," - a clear reference to the fight against the colonial power against whom America fought to become an independent country. These people want to preserve our history in the form of statues celebrating Americans who fought to perpetuate slavery, but are offended by my state's flag. Go figure. (gift link with no paywall).
