Wasn't Martial Law supposed to be declared today?

We were assured by many that would be the case.

Does it take, like, 24 hours to set in? Would those be business hours?

I guess if the analysis provides a green light he might do so, and as part of that he'd be free to declare Martial Law. The question is has he received the report yet and what does it say?

(I realize you're holding those to account who claimed Marshal Law was to be invoked today. Well, I suppose it's still possible -- the day is young.)

So midday differs for me than for most people. I’d say a day is no longer young at around 3 pm. To be clear, I’m not one in the camp that expects to see martial law today. But I’d expect news on the conclusions of the DOJ on this matter as handed to Trump. As far as I know, there’s been not a peep.

They do it for clicks because people are distraught and scared of this administration.

They're complicit with Trump IMHO.

VERY adamant about the inevitability of the most dire circumstances for us all. Nothing to be done. Already in the works. Fourth Reich. The end of America. The end of the world.

Gleefully, repeatedly, and authoritatively messages delivered.

I suspect this was primarily the xhitter site, as there was very little of that nonsense on bluesky. Reddit had some scare posts. It was all obvious bullshit intended to suppress protests.

no martial law? What next? Social Security doesn't get eliminated, robbing all of us poor retirees? Am I waking up? Has this all been a horrible bad dream and Harris is president? Or had I been sucked into an alternate dimension? (I hate when that happens.)

And invoke it this summer when he can more easily manufacture a reason as shortages grow and folks lose patience with the looming trade war.

Economists watching shipping containers indicate the shortages of essential goods from China will become acute in 2 months or so.

No ‘justification’ at any time – particularly given the fact that declaring martial law is un-Constitutional, even in the event of an ‘insurrection.’

...so martial law isn't necessary at this time. More likely is that they can't take any more bad publicity after the Social Security debacle; the 50501 protestors, the El Salvador situation, etc.
