And most Catholics aren't American. Doubt Trump will have much if any influence.

It will be a young and relatively liberal pope.

And on edit:

Francis held no great love for the Curia.

about how Francis was too woke, and the cardinals will ignore him, effectively telling him to fuck right off. He has absolutely no power over or influence on the selection of a new Pope.

It don't think it exports anything other than Catholic doctrine, which, except for their new-found interest in social justice, isn't saying much.

The Vatican does export a small amount of religious mementos, but not of any significant financial value.

He could very well just put meaningless tariffs on Vatican City for optics.

These people are dopes.

Its economy is mainly supported by the sale of stamps, coins, medals, and tourist mementos and fees for admission to museums. The Vatican isn't part of the EU, but it has an open border with Italy and is part of the Schengen Area, and is exempt from EU duties and taxes. If Trump were to place a stiff tariff on religious effigies all Hell would break loose...

That ship sailed a while ago.

I'm sure trump will opine on the selection, he seems to think that we want to hear his opinion on everything and can't help himself. But I don't see that a Lies Social tweet will affect anything.

The "thoughts and prayers" of TSF's Easter message will preclude his influence.
