St. Francis of Assisi prayer to honor Pope Francis.

I think it fitting to post it now. It is my favorite prayer.

When he was elected in 2013, Pope Francis said he chose his name in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the 13th-century Italian friar who renounced his wealth to become "a man of peace, a man of poverty, a man who loved and protected creation,” according to the National Catholic Reporter.

St. Francis of Assisi's famous prayer

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen.

"If a person is gay and seeks God and has goodwill, who am I to judge?".
