Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) celebrated following the death of Pope Francis on Monday.

"Today there were major shifts in global leaderships," Greene wrote on X just hours after the pontiff died. "Evil is being defeated by the hand of God."

If the hand of gawd has the power to smite the evil pope, why didn't he just stop the dude from ever even being the pope?

Every time I read something like this I think back I think 8 years or so, when a kid was thrown over the 3rd floor railing at a department store, IIRC it was in MN. He was badly hurt, but lived. And the usual suspects were all "ZOMG GAWD REACHED DOWN AND SAVED HIM!" and I'm just like, what?

So, why didn't He stop the guy from throwing the kid over the balcony? There were about 1,000,000 options the almighty could've arranged for them to not be in the same place at the same time, and that's just one means of a few. Someone also could've been near him to protect him, for example.

So your going to sit their and tell me your holy father can reach down and tinker with something so immeasurably complex as a humans metabolic processes, literally cause death to NOT happen, but he can't arrange one flat tire at an opportune time?

It makes me think you're gullible, I'm sorry.

that is not "nothing." Plus, this Pope was popular even among non-Catholics and in fact, the nonrelgious. This is a stupid tactic by the little cretinous monster.

I'm in South Georgia now and believe me, we ALL despise this woman! When I came here months ago looking at houses, I turned on local news and saw a poll by a station down here about the infamous MTG. When surveyed, Georgians (all over the state) were asked one unbiased and simple question: "Who is the most embarrassing person from Georgia?" Overwhelmingly, Georgians replied it was MTG! So, the station decided to get their party affiliations... Although doubtfully statistically accurate, over 70% of registered REPUBLICANS and over 90% of registered Democrats felt MTG was the state's greatest shame.

After seeing this story, I did some personal investigating. Most Republicans here, even those who vote for her, HATE her. They continue to vote for her because they feel "bullied" by their husbands, pastors, and preachers to keep doing so, even against what they know are their best interests. It's disturbing and sick that women feel such shame here.

The Georgia Republican woman supports and upholds the requisite Republican evil misogyny and hatred for her fellow man as much as any male redneck counterpart she could ever ensnare. It's the men here, not the women, who are steering the ship, but it's the women who gleefully accept their orders. I believe the Republican men all covertly long for and covet a wife like MTG, in a less offensive and more acceptable package, so they vote their desires for their own wives to become that which they wish they'd married--a woman without a conscience in conflict. That being said, I have a background in sociology, psychology, Poli sci., and "good sense" as we say here, so I'm sure I see it through my own lens.
