'My Dinner With Adolf': Larry David Drags Bill Maher's Trump Meet in Scathing NYT Op-Ed - Without Mentioning Him

Larry David, the co-creator of Seinfeld and star of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, published a satirical op-ed in The New York Times on Monday titled “My Dinner With Adolf” that was an apparent shot at Bill Maher.

In the piece, David recounts an imagined dinner with Adolf Hitler in the spring of 1939. David’s story reads as a first-person account from a well-known critic of the Nazi regime who decides to accept an invitation to dine with the dictator at the “Old Chancellery.”

the power he has now.

If she read the article she would know about how he feels about her meeting with trump.

I find her husband repugnant, but I'm assuming she doesn't.

We expect consistent perfection from humans. We're never going to get it. But when they are right and good, please give them a biscuit.

What, he’s obligated to qualify everything he does with an apology about casting Cheryl Hines in his show 25 years ago?

He said he was starving and led us into the dining room, where he gestured for me to sit next to him. Göring immediately grabbed a slice of pumpernickel, whereupon Hitler turned to me, gave me an eye roll, then whispered, “Watch. He’ll be done with his entire meal before you’ve taken two bites.” That one really got me. Göring, with his mouth full, asked what was so funny, and Hitler said, “I was just telling him about the time my dog had diarrhea in the Reichstag.” Göring remembered. How could he forget? He loved that story, especially the part where Hitler shot the dog before it got back into the car. Then a beaming Hitler said, “Hey, if I can kill Jews, Gypsies and homosexuals, I can certainly kill a dog!” That perhaps got the biggest laugh of the night — and believe me, there were plenty.

I loved Real Time, but even I finally deleted the last three shows I had recorded. I hate to be that way, but Larry speaks for me on this one.

Than for posting it.

He brought all of this on himself, with that pathetic lapdog report on his White House visit. Hats off to Larry David, for crafting such a dead-bang perfect coup de gras---I hope Maher never comes close to recovering from it. Nice to see all of his years of liberal-bashing, finally catching up with him.
