Tr*mp blast Supreme Court. "We can't give everyone a trial"

Trump blasts Supreme Court while arguing trials for migrants ‘not possible’
President Trump on Monday complained of being “stymied at every turn” by the courts, arguing the administration can’t hold trials for migrants it plans to deport amid accusations they are gang members.

The remark was Trump’s first on the topic since the Supreme Court agreed to intervene early Saturday morning, halting flights as the administration prepared to use the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelan migrants, presumably to a prison in El Salvador.

Hopefully you won't have a trial before you're sent to prison!

Like the Dems have been asking for for years.

Jeeze, how else does anyone prove you're lying about them?

I guess that inconvenient Constitution is getting in the way of being a dictator.

Going back to at least Smirky McBush. Republicans blocked all new requests for additional judges. Or even paralegals to help plaintiff and the courts.

And hopefully it will be covered in the press like Watergate and Iran Contra. And, hopefully, the electorate will pay attention and remember. (I realize that there is no f'ing chance for that.)

But trials should be about discovering and exposing the truth. Having the truth available is important to democracy. If a part of the electorate chooses to ignore the truth, that weakens democracy, but that part of the electorate was always going to be detrimental to democracy.

number as of January 5, 2024. It did take three years. But that's due process.

By Alexander Mallin
January 5, 2024

In the three years since the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol, federal prosecutors have charged more than 1,265 defendants across nearly all 50 states and D.C. and secured sentences of incarceration for more than 460 people, according to newly released numbers from the U.S. Attorney's Office in D.C.

Of the more than 1,265 individuals charged since Jan. 6, 2021, department prosecutors have secured more than 718 guilty pleas -- including 213 who pleaded to felonies that include assaults on federal officers, obstructing law enforcement and seditious conspiracy.

For a declaration of a state of emergency and subsequent martial law. If the courts “can’t handle” the “immigrant crisis,” then martial law will be “necessary” to “protect” Americans from “rapists, murderers, and drug smugglers.”

There's a big difference.

And to add to the sickness of the whole thing, Kristi Neom takes photos of herself posing with the prisoners to brag about it.
