The presidents of more than 150 U.S. colleges and universities have signed a letter condemning “government overreach” in response to the Trump administration’s recent moves to seize control of academic institutions, NBC News reports.

The college leaders say they “are open to constructive reform and do not oppose legitimate government oversight,” but “oppose undue government intrusion in the lives of those who learn, live, and work on our campuses.”

The president may feel that it is too large of a risk to take such a stand and I've heard rumors of dissatisfaction of her job performance. I am disappointed that Southwestern did not sign the letter.
