So, won't Pope Francis's eulogy be recited in Italian? Will their be translations via earpiece?

I'm wondering, because, no way Trump sits still for 2 1/2 hours if he doesn't know what is going on around him. His ability to remain clueless is limited to English venues.

Even into the 19th Century, it was the "global language" that really educated people could all speak to communicate across the language barrier.
(Not me-- I failed my one year of Latin in school!)

I thought it was SO UNFAIR. Now I realize that my reading comprehension of English was vastly improved by having Latin, even tho English isn't a latinate language.

A linguist who has a YouTube channel traveled to the Vatican and engaged in conversations with Priests, etc. at the Vatican. In Latin. The results were mixed. While Latin is still used in the liturgy at some times, it is not the universal spoken language at the Vatican, apparently.
