I have my days. Some days, I handle the Trump crud better than others. Some days, it gets to me and I can barely function.
I love my country and all that she used to stand for. Sound like a cliche? Well, it's the truth for so many of us. It is honestly very painful to see that greatness being ripped away, and there are days that it gets to me.
No, I don't need to step away from the news for a while, or meditate, or take breaks, etc. I already do things as needed to keep things in perspective. But the perspective is reality - and the reality is undeniable.
I am encouraged by the protests and the town halls that I've seen where citizens are speaking up. I hope we see more and more of that. I hope Harvard stands her ground. I hope Democrats keep finding new and inventive ways to stop the madness.
How are YOU doing today? We need to remember to care about each other.

(2,567 posts)It makes me furious that I even have to be concerned about this EARNED BENEFIT. Just another reason I miss having a sane, rational individual that actually cares about their fellow citizens in the White House.

(6,399 posts)I am doing well today. Today is my acts of kindness as I have two different friends who no longer drive. I will be taking one to her doctor's appointment and the second is taking a friend to an appointment this afternoon. Yes, we do need to care for each other.

(160 posts)some days the anxiety is over the top. I try not to look at news etc.. after 7pm. That seems to help a little.
Today we're having a rally at the SS office to deliver a letter on behalf of social security works and Elizabeth Warren.
That should help us out some.
Let's keep up the rallies, phone calls and letters.
Have a great day folks!!
