What the stock market turmoil is teaching us

When you take a step back, realizing that the economic well-being of the world is highly dependent on a market solely run on people predicting whether prices will go up or down seems rather stupid, no?

I worked with a guy who said he made more money at flea markets on the weekend than as an optical engineer all week.

He would buy antiques and resell them for more money. Loser was the one holding the bag when people stopped bidding the item up.

It's all psychology, and as people here remind me, I don't know Jack about psychology. Some things (like me) age like fine wine. Others age like fine milk.
