US cancels hundreds of grants for police, crime victims

WASHINGTON, April 23 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department has canceled hundreds of ongoing grants that funded everything from mental healthcare for police officers to support programs for victims of crime and sexual assault, according to internal records and four people familiar with the matter.

At least 365 grants from the Office of Justice Programs, the department's largest grant-making arm, were terminated late Tuesday, said two of the people, who were granted anonymity to discuss details that have not been made public ...

4. I had a "discussion" with a MAGA earlier this year about all that bullshit.

Nothing I said made any difference. I showed her all the times our local Repub Rep voted against "The Blue." Or how trump pardoned the people who attacked police officers (Jan 6th). Etc. None of it made it through in her brainwashed skull. I don't know why I bothered.
