Anyone else lamenting the headlines focusing on Trump vs. the whole GOP?
I realize saying and pointing fingers of blame and shame at Trump is easy one stop shopping, but I worry that our target for tar and feathers and the 2026 midterms has to be the whole GOP. They enable all of the evil by sitting on their hands or actively aiding and abetting. While an outsize influence, Trump will never be on the ballot again. I have no problem seeing his brand hurt but when we focus on him, it gives some amount of cover for the GOP Congressional caucuses and statewide GOP interests. It is the latter we have to beat in 2026 and I hope our Dem voices focus on painting them with the issues this administration is causing.
