&t=257sMy words: At about 2:54 Lawrence discusses Trump laughing about D-Day. Made me weep. This creature, we call Trump, is an ABOMINATION, a curse upon the world, an EVILNESS that we must remove from our society. Lawrence then goes on to discuss the Trump/Musk shit show.

(15,159 posts)The look on this imbecile's ugly face as he delivers his moronic observation. Words fail. Trump is a cancer on America. He is killing this country. We cannot survive three years and eight months more of this:
Merz: And may I remind you that we are having June 6 tomorrow. This is D-Day anniversary when the Americans once ended a war in Europe."
Trump (wisecracking): That was not a pleasant day for you.
Merz: It was not a pleasant day...In the long run, Mr. President, this was the liberation of my country from Nazi dictatorship."

(3,250 posts)Watching Trump wormily attempting to embarass the German Chancellor was cringeworthy, pitiful and disgusting.
Merz was right on the mark with his sharp reply/rebuke, speaking firmly, looking straight ahead, and setting the record straight.

(21,228 posts)Not to correct Lawrence, but, apart from age, Trump has zero in common with manhood.
ETA: Thank you for the heads-up, joinfortmill! Herr Merz schooled the imbecile.

(21,141 posts)His chronological age means he meets the legal definition of adulthood, but in every other way (cognitively, morally, and emotionally), he has more in common with a typical toddler than with an adult. We've all been saying that for years. It's deeply disturbing to see what appears to be a grown ass adult acting like a two year old (let alone being allowed to run a whole country), but that's exactly what he is: a two year in an adult body. It's bewildering to me that this isn't overwhelmingly obvious to everyone who observes him for any length of time.
This bizarre, fractured reality we're all living in, where millions of us look at him and clearly see the overgrown toddler that he is, while millions of others see something completely different, is why I feel like I fell down a rabbit hole in January 2017, was forced to stay there until 2021, enjoyed four years of Biden led sanity, and then was rudely pushed back down the rabbit hole when Schlump was sworn in again this past January. I hope and pray that I can outlive him, or at least outlive his period of political power, because I do not want to die at the bottom of this freaking rabbit hole!
