Eggs and Gas

When I go to the grocery store I usually check the price of eggs. Yesterday at my local WalMart Grocery a half dozen eggs were selling for $1.39. The price was about $4 a few weeks ago so, yes the price of eggs has fallen

Getting gas at Costco yesterday the price had fallen from $4.14 to $3.99 in just a few days (California prices)
So gas prices are also dropping.

I don't blame or credit any administration for the egg prices. I think this is just a reflection of the inventory rising due to drop in bird flu cases and more chickens producing.

Fuel prices always fluctuate here but hitting $3.99 now is pretty low as price manipulation in California is a big problem in my mind as they always take down a refinery for "maintenance" whenever prices come down.

What are gas and egg prices where you live?

1. Memorial day weekend just passed -- they jacked up gas prices for the holiday then lower after

Gas prices are stagnant at least here in Iowa.

But the price of food is up -- our staples are higher.

Pork and chicken both higher than past years. Milk is substantially higher than it was 6-9 months ago.

NOt a big egg user, but cereal is up.

The price per ounce of a lot things are higher -- they are engaging in shrinkflation to hide some of it. But food is definitely more expensive.

but, the stupid is not knowing that, the stupid is selectively choosing to believe that when there is a D POTUS, while using it as a defense when there is an R POTUS.

it's all their fault but when the president is a Republican and the price of gas goes up, "presidents don't control gas prices."

So it has always been and always will be.

I just paid $4 for a dozen eggs.

Sorry I can't help you with gas prices, but I don't have a car and can't drive.

I just went to the grocery store yesterday. 2 of them because I usually only buy things on sale and they are right next to each other. Cheapest eggs was the store brand selling for $4 per dozen. I paid a little over $5 for a dozen not store brand. Also gas went up in my area from $2.75 to $2.99 per gallon yesterday. This is in Missouri so prices have not gone down significantly here.

The cheapest store brand were $3+ a dozen. They sure haven't gone down here in Central Florida.

Gas has't either. It fluctuates, sometimes hourly, from $2.98 to $3.19, staying at the higher price most of the time.

14. Depends which stores and brands.

In our area, gas is ranging from $2.40 - $2.65 a gallon, with some in state convience and grocery store brands, 7-11, and Costco generally being cheapest and ExxonMobil and shell the most expensive.
Don't use eggs due allergies, but I often look out of curiosity. It seems to depend on store and brand. Last time I looked for a dozen eggs prices ranged from $5.00 to $14.00.
