Time to call off all public mass protest till the midterms?

It would deprive him of the excuse for further deployment of the military, and avoid unnecessary bloodshed.

Other forms of protest can be amped up.

I assume this is something that is going to be looked at long and hard by those involved in planning such events.

It's way over my pay grade, but isn't using military in blue states to quash dissent something that would merit Democrats shutting down Congress until courts reign Orange Caligula in?

“The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to peacefully assemble. This right allows individuals to gather together to express their views, engage in political activities, or advocate for change, without government interference. However, this right is not absolute and can be restricted when necessary to maintain order and safety.”

They are looking for an excuse to kill, arrest, deport, and hurt Americans. These are evil people
who are working on burning America to the ground. They need to be stood up to. End of story.

Stay peaceful and do not go along with right wing plants who will try to stir up trouble.

We need pushback now, not later.

If we wait and put all our eggs into the midterm basket, we'll likely have waited until the 'vote' is cooked and irrelevant. IMHO, there's no sense in giving this Administration a head start in breaking the backs of all Americans.

Protest everyday, everywhere and all at once. The Pritzker Rule.

'tread softly' Pretty sure everyone is going to do what they want to do ... Don't they almost always? (and, in that context - my own thoughts on the subject are of exceedingly little weight or value)

You believe it is possible for Ds to 'shut down' Congress ? I'm wondering ... ?

We need to think outside the box because there has never been an opponent like Trump before and so needs different tactics. Demonstration tactics used against the Vietnam war or for civil rights may likely not work the same against Trump.

Peaceful protest is covered by the constitution. As long as we stay calm and peaceful, eventually it will begin to make a difference. And the world has to see that we aren't cowering, afraid of the jack-booted thugs.

Gods, I wish I was young enough and healthy enough to be out there!
