In addition to everything else, this is a messaging opportunity. This is an opportunity for us to say WE ARE THE PATRIOTS. We are the ones holding the line on the values of our country. And that does not include masked jackbooted thugs snatching people off the streets. Their message is that this is about defending us against foreign criminals. someone was passing out smallish but visible American flags. They were grabbed up. Some of us also had Canadian flags.
This was in Maine which, like many other states, is really missing Canadian visitors.
