blocking freeways is easily the stupidest form of protest ever tried.

People who are prevented from seeing loved ones in the hospital (possibly on their death bed), or from making it to a court date, job interview, class, funeral, wedding, or some other obligation, won't think "gee - maybe these people have a point." They'll think, "what a bunch of selfish slackers."

It also means emergency vehicles might not be able to carry out their duties. Do you want a house to burn down from a fire that could have been contained? Do you want someone to die because an ambulance couldn't reach their destination, or make it to a hospital? I don't, either.

As someone who has spent literally thousands and thousands of hours on LA freeways in my 75 yrs, this would make me upset. Even tho' I'm 100% in agreement with the protestors, I don't support blocking the freeways. As was mentioned elsewhere, there are too many important/urgent reasons people are on those roads and being blocked doesn't endear the protestors to the drivers...trust me!!
