I'm concerned that infiltrators and instigators are staged to escalate in L.A.

I (like others on this forum) think the Mexican flags may be a "plant".

I see some folks at the front of the action who seem to be "in costume" and setting a scene. I am now seeing many Keffiyeh scarves, and I even saw what looked like the type of head band worn by Arab militants (like Hamas). I saw some individuals yelling at law enforcement in an antagonistic and relentless way....as if to provoke.

Anyone else see what I am seeing?

I'm reminded of the Rodney King riots.

People were angry, while others just wanted to cause trouble.

That’s what happens in most protests except those like 50501 in April.

Fortunately, what I saw today was a lot of people watching from hills on the freeways, tons of people who looked like professional photographers, journalists, podcasters, people hoping to get a viral video, folks who’d go wherever there’s a crowd on a weekend, etc.

Obviously saw some serious protesters, including some who brought helmets, shields, bullhorns, etc.

10. I haven't seen anything yet from the people at the front

of the protests that we didn't do at Vietnam War protests. We yelled at cops, flipped them off, spit at them, called them "PIGS!" We didn't burn cars, but that's the only thing I've seen that I think is probably being done by outside agitators, and we had those kind of infiltrators, too (COINTELPRO). All I've seen so far is the burning cars, though. Newsom mentioned in his MSNBC interview tonight that there are anarchists coming in to cause trouble that will play right into Trump's hands. And yes, that is worrisome, but I do not think they are the people at the front of the lines. Those are mostly pissed off young people -- and rightly so! The troublemakers are stealthy and do not want to be seen.

11. I will follow up on several comments at once.

I believe that much of the damage done to property during the Summer protests after the killing of George Floyd was done by infiltrators. I do not know if anyone was able to track to what degree. But I do know that the Minneapolis police station was burned down by the Boogaloo Bois. I saw someone in black "gear" scale the fence and knock it down, and encourage others to join him. It was live in the background while Ali Velshi was reporting. A couple of years later a reported identified the perpetrators as Boogaloo Bois.

If we don't identify infiltrators because we don't want to sound like "them", then one of their reverse psychology tactics is working.

Why did Mexican flags all of a sudden show up? Ice isn't only targeting Mexicans. Earlier on DU, someone mentioned that the appropriate flag to be waving is the American flag. I agree.

I hope this situation does not escalate. We need the protests to continue to be peaceful.

I also wonder if some of this escalation on the part of the administration take over is intended to instill a message of warning for the protests on the 14th. Intimidation is one of the grifter's favorite tactics.

13. Today an old 2020 video was used by Ted Cruz and James Woods

as their "proof" of violence in LA during riots. No one even checks the dates of these videos before they open their big, ignorant mouths. Adam Mockler showed that on his show earlier.

"Cruz took to X to share a video posted originally by conservative actor James Woods, who said he will "throw up" if people refer to the protests as peaceful. The video shows police vehicles burning.
