You do not give Trump an inch.. He is a bottomless pit of need that can never be satisfied

Gavin Newsom is handling this in the right way.. do not give him a inch.. He dared him and his representative Homan to go ahead and arrest him (Newsom).. that is how you do it folks.. back him down

"The governor pointed to Trump’s Truth Social post earlier Sunday, in which he said the National Guard had done a “great job.” Newsom said the state forces had not even been deployed at the time.

“It’s Orwellian — simply lying to people, unconstitutional, illegal act, his mess. We’re trying to clean it up,” he added."

Credit where credit is due. He's had a few other things that didn't fly so well over the past little while. But this is spot on. Call out the lies. Call the bluff.

I am an old person and I have seen this story before.. and those who loot, and resort to violence have nothing and I mean nothing to do with the issues involved in protest.

So with that said.. same is true for the jackasses throwing rocks and destroying everything around them for entertainment.. they are not protesters , but their actions will be used to attack lawful protests.. Of that you are correct. Between you and me, I am convinced that some are agents of the other side trying to gin up confrontation..

participating in sit-ins. About a year ago I looked him up online and there was a fresh mugshot of him. He'd been arrested at a sit-in. And he was smart -- had a PhD in science.

(and clearly your friend was accepting of the inherent consequences)

I make a flat distinction between that - and rioting (burning, looting, shooting, attacking/beating .. )
