This Israeli Government Is A Danger To Jews Everywhere - NYTIMES, Thomas Friedman

I'm so glad Thomas Friedman is using his platform to say this. I've heard this exact thing many times from my Jewish friends. Israel's actions are putting the Jewish diaspora in danger.

retired and reserve duty Israeli Air Force pilots, as well as retired Army and security officers, are seeing this gathering storm and declaring they will not be silent or complicit in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ugly, nihilistic policy in Gaza. They have begun to urge Jews in America and elsewhere to speak up — SOS: Save Our Ship — before the widening moral stain of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza becomes irreversible.

2. This Israeli government didn't poof into existence ex nihilo; it was chosen, repeatedly, by Israeli voters.

Tom is making the same error as people who point to The Dotard as what/who threatens Americans, instead of the ~80M who voted for him and the ~90M who didn't bother to vote at all.

3. Bravo, monsieur. I just wish people could separate the Israeli government from Jewish people everywhere. Both sides:

those who use opposition to Israeli policy as an excuse to be antisemitic AND those who call those opposed to Israel's policies antisemitic to tarnish them.

... what he does cannot excuse the violence and threats experienced by American Jews over the last two years. Indeed, the mainstreaming of antisemitism under the guide of anti-Zionism was already in progress before the massacre of 10/7, and continually, American Jews are denied protection in public discourse, each charge of antisemitism countered with abuse and claims of illegitimacy. Netanyahu could go away tomorrow, but the problems would get worse.

5. First and foremost, the Netanyahu coalition government is a danger to Israelis, and not just the jews.

As far as Jews everywhere, it lags far behind the global wave of normalized antisemitism which is being overlooked by far too many governments other than Netanyahu's.

6. What Israeli Govt is doing in Gaza is fanning the flames of hate worldwide

Netanyahu is the problem
Extremism by Netanyahu is the problem.

What Netanyahu’s Israeli Government has done/is doing in Gaza exacerbates antisemitism.

Netanyahu is fanning the flames of hate.

Israel’s Ethnic cleansing in Gaza,
Israel’s Mass killings of civilians, children, women, elderly in GAZA,
denial of food, denial of medical treatment, destruction of
civilian water supplies, destruction of civilians’ electrical power,

That’s what’s fanning the flames of hate worldwide.

Was it the Zionist elders and their protocols?
