First stage always carries the biggest fuel load. The Starship/Heavy Lifter uses methane/LOX for all three stages.

If it was a takeoff and not a test it would have been carrying much more fuel.

"50x more for a fully stacked launch"

Seeing how erratic and unhinged he's been in his mismanagement of DOGE and Xitter, it's easy to imagine imposition of thoughtless cuts and unrealistic timelines may have contributed to the spate of "rapid unscheduled disassemblies" at SpaceX.
