Trump’s idea of preventing forest fires is to “rake our forests.” Any aerial view of our nation’s many expansive forests demonstrates just how crazy his idea is.

1. There is an amusing story about 'rake our forests"

I heard from a Finnish person, if I remember this correctly, that the original description of how fires are limited in Finnish forests, had to do with the use of fire breaks. That makes a lot of sense. However, 'breaks' became something sounding like 'rakes' in the verbal description, because the Finns have some difficulty with the 'br' sound. In any case, only Trump would be insane enough to think it is perfectly plausible that the Finns rake their forests.

8. I live in rural NC, and I have a decent view of thousands of acres of forests and fields.

Probably five digits, maybe six, t's hard to tell because there are pastures and fields and farmhouses scattered throughout; I can see three counties. I'm on the western side of a shallow valley. There are mountains to my north, west, east, most of it is forested. To my south there are hills and the land becomes a rolling pastoral scene but still with forested areas, down to the bedroom communities north and west of Charlotte.

This stupid baby man has no idea what he's talking about. Bring him out here and drop him in the the twelve hundred acres across the road and give him a couple of rakes. He wants his fucking forests raked, he needs to come try it himself. Fucking idiot.
