I would rather see it brought to an end by it's own people rather than regime change from outside. Especially not by us.

Anybody who thinks that the Iranian regime is going to capitulate because we bombed them is foolish. They've been chanting "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" for almost 50 years. The mullahs are finally getting their full-on conflict with the Great Satan and Little Satan that they've been itching for.

BTW, the Supreme Leader is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Ayatollah Khomeni that we all knew from back in the day has been dead for many years. Khamenei is his successor.

Lots of fresh troops, all with a newfound love and support for their own homeland, which they really weren't that enthusiastically feeling last summer, for example.

This is the second or third generation under the Islamic fundamentalists. The young people are sick of their bullshit. It's just that the secret police keep everyone in line.

Seriously, H2O Man, there are many good people within those borders. Some are oppressed by malevolent regimes. Some are twisted by theocracy.

Wishing for the best possible outcome for humans the world over.

Because they are no different than the everyday innocent people in this country that must live with the decisions that are being made by evil men of power.

Remember this quote? "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever."

That's what I think of when I think of the terrible fate of the innocent people caught in the crossfire of the warring factions in the Middle East.
