I'm so sad and furious about this bombing.

He should not have that power. Not life and death. Not him. Not that narcissistic, unfeeling, power hungry, pathetic excuse for a human being. He should not be able to do this. We are FOOLS to let him do this. We are enabling a monster. Are we really this helpless?

I’m in as much despair as I’ve ever been. He’s one thing. Letting him be the monster he is is quite another.

I guess I had faith in others standing up for us. Doing what we elected them to do, and more really. Maybe I’m looking for movie style bravado but I feel helpless and deserted by those we elected.

I agree with you nolabear and somehow in my heart have been holding on to hope that there would be wiser heads prevailing or somehow laws that would be followed but I’m afraid that all laws are being ignored and will continue to be.

I honestly feel that the gates of hell have been unleashed and no US citizen, Israeli or Jew will be safe for years to come.

And anyone who opposes this unjustifiable strike and attack from the US against Iran will be designated an opponent of Israel, Unamerican and a supporter of terrorists. Opposition will be silenced.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard will serve dessert up cold to the US and Israel - and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

He doesn’t.

But the un-Constitutional, lawless abuse of power consists of usurping power an autocrat doesn’t possess.

He did this because his polling numbers are in the sewer, and he thinks that now he is a wartime president, so people will like him like they did Dubya. This damn criminal MUST be stopped. Surely there must be a way to end his reign of terror.
I am most certain that many folks are feeling the same way,

Call my cynical, but I don't feel sorry for those complaining about Iran getting nuclear weapons, especially Israel and the US governments. As bad as this regime is, what gives us the right to pick and choose which countries have it? To me, this is only part of the bigger issue of nuclear weapons in general. It's either you are for nuclear weapons, or you are not, you can't pick and chose.

If this whole thing is all because Iran is an Islamic regime, why have we not said the same thing with Pakistan? They have nuclear weapons, and it's controlled by Islamic fundamentalists, so why aren't they using it? I'm sorry, I'm not buying that bombing Iran is because of nuclear weapons. I feel they want to overthrow this regime. But again, who do they think is going to replace them? We saw what happened with Libya. I don't think the US has learned how to deal with the power vacuum that comes with overthrowing a government.

But ultimately, it shouldn't be the US or Israel deciding what Iran should be. Ultimately the question is, what do the Iranian people want? Are they ready for a parliamentary/democratic government? This is the problem with overthrowing a regime. They probably don't know how to do it (look up how the Arab Spring went where the governments ended up being worse). Let's not forget, there are religious zealot groups. How do we know that an even more Islamic fundamentalist group that is worse than the current regime isn't going to take their place? This is going to make Iran far less willing to negotiate because they see the US as nothing more than a dealbreaker who won't keep their end of the bargain.

a President from unilaterally taking military action. (We already do, but this one would spell out the specifics.)

And you know what? TSF would ignore it.

Unless there is something in place at The Pentagon where his orders would not be implemented, it will happen again and again and again.
