I think he thinks he has covered his chips and he got reelected. Putin's economy is in the shitter, and Iran has been providing arms. This would be a hard play against Iran. Since Israel controls air space, trump felt he would have a low challenged bombing run.
Trump disavowed his own intelligence in favor of Bibi's. The Abraham Accords were for UAE, Saudi, et al and Israel. This gives that deal a chance.
He is still angling for Nobel and Iran has few cards. Wouldn't be surprised if he backed Zelenskyy, to broker his big balls at a weakened Putin.
