We now have concentration camps in this country.

I am referring to the facility they setup in the Everglades, dubbed Alligator Alcatraz.
Make no mistake, its not a detention camp, its a concentration camp.

Trump and his goons are following in the footsteps of Hitler and We as Americans are indifferent to it.

We have seen it before. German people ( and polish, austrians where the camps were) also did not want to believe it.

We already have reports of people dying in ice custody ( latest one was a 75 yr Cuban) . It is not hard to imagine what will happen if you put people in the middle of the Everglades in tents, with no AC, marginal food and close to no medical care. There will be deaths in droves.

Of course, we probably won't be able to tell since they will prevent congress to investigate and inspect it.

You can kill people many other ways. Disease, starvation and so on. Concentration camps did not only happen in connection with the holocaust.

From encyclopedia Britannica:

concentration camp, internment centre for political prisoners and members of national or minority groups who are confined for reasons of state security, exploitation, or punishment, usually by executive decree or military order. Persons are placed in such camps often on the basis of identification with a particular ethnic or political group rather than as individuals and without benefit either of indictment or fair trial.

The term "concentration camp" has an incredibly negative and emotional connotation.

This type of device is used to inflame and incite the reader.

Unfortunately, when overused, its connotations are cheapened and the impact is lessened.

Calling Republicans "fascists" and "nazis" and Democrats "commies" and "Marxists" have the same effect.

Mon Jun 30, 2025, 03:20 PM

Several were "work camps" where people were worked to death, literally, doing labor for the Third Reich with minimal food, clothing, medical care and sanitation. Exhaustion and disease killed off many of them. When they were no longer needed for the work they had been assigned to,they were shipped to another work camp or were sent to a death camp to be exterminated in "shower" rooms which emitted lethal gas.

The term concentration camp means people concentrated in one place. It does not mean death camp.

Make no mistake about it. Trump intends to leave people in detention camps -- AKA concentration camps -- through contracts with private prisons. Private prisons means no incentive to spend much on necessities for inmates because it would cut into profits. The goal is to frighten people into self-deportation when they hear about camp conditions and being locked up for indefinite periods. Also meant to frighten other migrants and immigrants from coming to the US. This is directly out of the German Nazi playbook. Hitler initially threatened Jews and other people whom he considered undesirables with deportation. Then the restriction laws were put into place as an incentive for Jews to leave the country. Their citizenship was revoked because they were called "not German," regardless of whether they were born in Germany.

Nazi concentration camps were initially called detention centers for criminals, but were actually prisons for political dissidents. It was not until later that they become concentration camps for people who did not self-deport, who had their citizenship denied, along with Poles, Roma (Gypsies), people with mental health diagnoses, and people with various other disabilities.

The Trump regime is going straight down this path. He is now denying birthright citizenship to children of undocumented immigrants. By making citizenship an open question, he can expand the issue of who is a citizen until he gains the power to revoke citizenship for anyone he chooses.

Death camps and roundups of people without legal due process did not happen instantly, overnight in Nazi Germany. It was a gradual process of getting the populace accustomed to the othering of some people, first with laws denying them civil rights, then with denying their citizenship and labeling them as criminals, and finally exterminating them.

The time to speak up and oppose this kind of government action is NOW, before it gets worse.

the "othering" of people began in Nazi Germany and gradually moved on to slave labor, denial of citizenship and extermination.

But, not all concentration camps were death camps where people were mass murdered in fake showers and then cremated. Several of the concentration camps were slave labor camps where people died due to lack of adequate clothing for the seasons, and lack of food, medicine, and sanitation.

But, perhaps you already know those things about Nazi Germany and just don't want to believe that it could happen in the US? We are sliding down the same slope.

Mon Jun 30, 2025, 05:41 PM
Jun 30

It originated in theSpanish-Cuban war of the late 19th century and in currrent common use includes many cases besides Nazi Germany:

A concentration camp is a prison or other facility used for the internment of political prisoners or politically targeted demographics, such as members of national or ethnic minority groups, on the grounds of national security, or for exploitation or punishment.[1]

Prominent examples of historic concentration camps include the British confinement of non-combatants during the Second Boer War, the internment of Japanese, German, and Italian Americans during the Second World War, the Nazi concentration camps (which later morphed into extermination camps), and the Soviet labour camps or gulag.

Note that concentration camps are distinguished from extermination camps. Not all concentration camps involve deliberate mass murder of their prisoners. The Holocaust is not the only example of a concentration camps.

Just because they're not purposely killing prisoners doesn't mean it doesn't technically qualify as a 'concentration camp.'
If they use the prisoners for forced labor, that pretty much seals the deal.

I don't think the OP is being hyperbolic.

The Trump Regime is following the Nazi Playbook to a tee.

They have their own private Gestapo of unidentified masked marauders and are building Concentration/Death Camps nationwide to imprison the ICE Gestapo’s human bounty.

Do not be deceived. These camps are not only for black and brown immigrants. They will soon house the Trump Regimes domestic enemies.

This is only the beginning. Want to know their next move? Study the history of the Third Reich.
