I'm a bit worried for the safety of my team

I am a production supervisor for a newspaper company located in a city that has more gun stores than grocery stores. People are already pissed off at us because we don't actively praise Trump on our editorial pages - we don't mention him at all and we run all the pro-Trump letters people send in*, but apparently we're supposed to worship the man - we're awful and worthy of destruction. I'm concerned a Trump supporter will show up one night with a gun.

We have freight, newspaper carriers and specially wrapped newspapers for hospitals and hotels going in and out of the shop the entire shift. We ALSO don't have an air conditioner; when they built the building they realized we'd let all the cold air out in normal operation, so they didn't put one in for the production floor. The place where we have the platesetters, wide format printers and digital press has one, but it's only for them.

We did that for our election workers. The Sheriff's department came and gave a great presentation.
We re-thought our entries and exits, and had a plan in place.
