So, it's too hot for Trump to open his Mar o lago golfcourse in Florida,

but it's not too hot to pack tents with prisoner detainees?

White privilege comforts vs minority abusive treatment.

They expose their primitive animal side by treating everyone else as animals.

The workers housing probably has air condition. But air-conditioning a tent would require some $$ and technology, which is not what this Administration is all about when it comes to public service.

I went to a barn wedding reception in Florida where all they had to do was open two doors on opposite sides of the barn for a few minutes and we were all sweating . (They did it for a photograph) The barn never cooled down after that. Takes a long time to get a house cooled down even under the best conditions. When they finally fixed our air condition, it took six to seven hours for the temperature to cool down to where we felt comfortable.

Now imagine a tent, which has no insulation and all those bodies producing heat.

It is very expensive to make such a big facility so quickly.

Yes the death rate will be high in this prison.

Maybe there will be no occupants.
It has all been for show.

that the tents are air conditioned - "Four massive tents complete with banks of portable air conditioners will house the detainees."

And, you can see the A/C ducts inside the tents, and the A/C units outside.

but for it to matter if they were ducts, is that it would take a massive compressor to run cool air for that entire tent.

And if that was a proper air-conditioning unit that could cool the entire tent, we wouldn't be talking about portable fans, would we?

I see airducts, what I don't see from the video are A/C units that are connected.

https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/theresienstadt

Theresienstadt served an important propaganda function for the Germans. The publicly stated purpose for the deportation of the Jews from Germany was their "resettlement to the east," where they would be compelled to perform forced labor. Since it seemed implausible that elderly Jews could be used for forced labor, the Nazis used the Theresienstadt ghetto to hide the nature of the deportations. In Nazi propaganda, Theresienstadt was cynically described as a "spa town" where elderly German Jews could "retire" in safety.

I used to work in a factory that had that type of system. The ducts are flat until the air kicks on and they inflate. Also I was in Ohio at the time and it still got miserable hot in there. I can't imagine this government spending enough to get over-sized units that would even touch the heat in south Florida. If they run constantly it might help some with the humidity but no matter what it's not going to be pleasant in those tents.

The tents are for the prisoners. Tents with no apparent air condition ducts.

No points for originality.

There’s nothing like a law’n’order mis-administration to bring out the worst law enforcement tendencies like goon squads, quotas, shanty town prisons, no due process, and worst of all, no plan for what is to be done with the prisoners (who, by-the-by, have first hand testimony of your abuses and standing) ultimately calling for some final solution or another.

Worst idea ever.

Yesterday morning here at my home in AZ, the temp was about 90° with 20% humidity. As we say, it's a dry heat which means it's mostly bearable. This morning the temp was the same but the humidity had risen to 35% and it feels like an oven outside.

The photo of F47, Meatball Ron, and Barbie Ice laughing at the concentration camp was just obscene. These three monsters have lost their humanity.

After his first term, he made Mar-a-Lago his home but had to relocate when the place closed down during the summers. If I recall correctly, that's when he started spending summers at Bedminster. I suspect he has to stay in DC most of the time now that he's *groan* back in office.

There is no golf course called "Mar-a-Lago" and the one he plays at in West Palm Beach is the Trump International, West Palm Beach and that is located 3.75 miles west of Mar-a-Lago.

I realize it isn't a massive point, and I know you aren't deliberately being obtuse, but I have seen this sort of comment way too many times on DU and it's annoying! LOL

Here is Mar-a-Lago;

https://maps.app.goo.gl/rnQey1rcmi3ZwKAY7

Here is Trump Int'l WPB;

https://maps.app.goo.gl/fq85ap92QHewetip6

And here is the distance between them;

And for the record, this dopey "Alligator Alcatraz" place is located on the "Dade-Collier Transition and Training Airport" which was built in the 1970's, originally intended to be the largest airport in the world at the time and is located 78 miles to the southwest of Mar-a-Lago and 44 miles west of downtown Miami. A lot of people are making it sound like they built the whole installation in a week, but all they did was move some tents and mobile office trailers in and parked them on a taxiway that was installed 55 years ago. The chain link fence with the barbed wire on top? Also been there for decades.

And another for the record, the Miccosukee Indians have been living in the Everglades in the area around the airport for a few hundred years and don't get wiped out by mosquitos or hurricanes or summer heat and humidity.

I'm not defending Rhonda Santis or Trumpy and this absurd grandstanding bullshit, but accuracy is important.

Also, the reason Mar-a-Lago closes in the summer is because all the old money folks go back north to Newport or the Hamptons for the summer, because WPB is fucking humid and hot as hell from May through September, and no one wants to go to a charity event when they start sweating the second they get out of the car!
