This is a lie. We know it's a lie. They are actively deporting people, as we speak, that have committed no crime.
That line is propaganda. Its used to create the aura of legitimacy. The secret is that once you are in custody, in chains and on a flight to an active war zone in a small African nation, there is nobody to listen to your pleas of innocence.
Even if someone, on your behalf, spent weeks in a courtroom, to get them returned, how long do you think a 50 or 60 or 70 year old civilian is going to survive in a country like South Sudan with no money, no passport and literally no frame of reference on how to survive in an active war zone with people committing genocide and other crimes against humanity?

An innocent civilian being sent to a place like South Sudan is a defacto death sentence.
