Financial Genius trump proves he does understand tariffs

Just now during his "praise the leader" cabinet meeting: "The country had a great depression. And then after the depression, long after it started, they brought back tariffs to see if they could save it. But it took them really 25 years to get out of the great depression. And a lot of people don't understand that."

Don't you feel schooled now? And of course, no pushback from the "press."

Since the WH stenographers corps refuses to fact check or do meaningful follow up, they should at least show all of his stupid "appearances" in full so people can see how boring, mind-numbingly inaccurate and unhinged his statements are. It's gotten to the point that the average viewer can see how unacceptable his statements are for a POTUS. Instead of showing bits and pieces of his drivel, let people see it all in it's horrific glory! Stop protecting him!

Of course the truth is that tariffs made things much, much worse. But at least he isn't saying tariffs are what got us out of the depression, which would be utterly insane but exactly the sort of utter insanity we've come to expect from him....

and they ended it. Which is wrong in so many ways. But it does seem like the utter insanity we expect from him.

And it's never about what he "thinks". With him it's always about what he wants others to think. And I guess he wants people to very confused about tariffs and any relation they gad to the Great Depression.
