This is Civil War
Or fascist revolution. Republicans have been waging this war since the Reagan era (error). And it's been out in the open since the 1990s. Newt Gingrich is the figure who launched this out in the open policy, but Democrats didn't believe him. The gentlemanly ideas of Capitol Hill where everybody is cordial is how they accomplished this and how they were able to incrementally take over the country. The twisted law and exploited every loop hole, every one. County by county, state by state, they did it, the cliche of running a religious republican from everything from dog catcher to US President. They stuck to it and we didn't take them seriously. People need to wake up to this fact. Over 40 years they have been at this and now the masks are off.
The "no, it can't happen here" and "America is different" crowd need to get on board with this idea that the old rules don't apply. We essentially in a state of lawlessness. They are showing us who they are every single day, they are getting more militant and violent and taking away our rights and there are still people that won't believe it because the truth is just to unfathomable to believe.
The thing I don't get is that they couldn't be doing this without corporate backing at every level. Don't these corporate leaders get that a Civil War will be a major disruption and probably crash markets? people don't spend when they are wondering if the food supply chain is going to deny them what they need to feed their families. They probably don't care because they think they are always going to come out on top in the new global order. I guess all the fascists do.
