Governor Glenn Youngkin (Va.) says his family was saved from catastrophic Texas flooding

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Governor Glenn Youngkin said his family was rescued by swift water crews and Texas Army National Guardsmen from catastrophic flooding in Texas.

Following an event celebrating Youngkin’s reduction of regulations in the Commonwealth, when addressing flooding in Texas, Youngkin said he and his wife’s family members were rescued in the Hunt area of Kerr County by responders.

Youngkin said he arrived in Texas on Friday, July 4, and described the response by Texas officials as being “extraordinary.” He explained that he accompanied swift water crews and Texas National Guardsmen to rescue his family.

I get that it’s a family thing but I’d think he’d have some sort of Capital Police detail with him.
