President Donald Trump's second term as commander in chief of the United States moves past the Fourth of July holiday on a whirlwind of headlines, including the strike on Iran and, most recently, the sweeping domestic policy bill.
Each instance has left the White House under the expected blend of scrutiny and praise across party lines, with many detractors also keeping a watchful glare on the president's federal immigration operations and subsequent use of power.
The 47th president's approval rating has reflected the national tensions, though still not in any lopsided sense. As the "Big Beautiful Bill" takes much of the national spotlight across the country, current data show that overall approval ratings have dipped, ranging between 40% and 45%, depending on the source.

(1,603 posts)The article purports to be new but the data they got came from the World Population Review (whatever that is) who lists its source as Newsweek, if you look at the Newsweek article it is dated Feb 06 2025 and has the same numbers as the new yahoo article.
