Restoring the Federal Government

The NIH and the other Agencies and Departments that have been damaged by this current Administration need to be restored. I think Democrats allied with some more Moderate Republicans could retake the House and Senate in 2026 and we could get past the American Trauma that we have gone through these past six months. Constructive and Reasonable comments are welcome and I am always open to corrections and discussion.

The one who claims to be, Brian Fitzpatrick, sold us out with his vote to proceed. Yes he voted No in the end but that was just political theatre.

I understand that position but we need moderate Republicans to defeat MAGA and get back to a safer and better kind of politics. MAGA are not real Republicans in my book. We usedvto have respectable opponents, not blood enemies. McCain, for example, was a worthy opponent who saved Obama care in the Senate. We would be better off with opponents like that instead of the geniuses that we have in the White House right now.

Identify these "moderate" Republicans you speak of...but every Republican who voted in favor of this bill, has shown that they are not moderate in any definition of the word!

And those who voted against the bill, aren't moderate either...

I am not talking about the Trump lackeys in the Congress. I am talking about moderate Republicans in the general population and the electorate. Check out the Anti-Trump media at the Bulwark if you dont already. They are Anti-Trump Republicansand are our Allies..

That’s highly unlikely in most places under present circumstances.

If we flip the 3-4 seats in NY that flipped republican last time, we retake the house.

We don’t need these so-called moderates to win back the house- they wouldn’t caucus with us anyway.

You appear to be an idealistic dreamer, Dan - hope you don’t mind the cold splashes of reality you’ll get here.

Think. Again.

If they are presenting themselves as republicans, they are not fit for public office.

Democrats allied with even farther Left thinkers are our only hope.

Think. Again.

I found myself getting way too uselessly angry about the lack of resistance to tyranny and decided to chill for a while.

America will get what it allows.

You can bet that trump will veto any attempt to rebuild it while he is squatting in the WH.

After trump, if we can restore voting rights, Dems will need 3-4 presidential terms to rebuild it.

It took FDR 3 terms to put it together as much as it was.
