Fear is spreading across the supply chain because the impact isn’t limited to California.

The UFW union reports laborers across New York and elsewhere are “terrified” to show up, even though many are legal or undocumented workers filling vital roles.

and could drive up grocery prices nationwide.

🚨 There’s a boiling frog analogy here somewhere…

Whether they are citizens, green card holders, on a visa...they are the easy targets because you can pick them up at hearings, paperwork renewals, etc.

Easier still just stand outside a church, grocery store, etc. and gran every brown person who does not actively have a passport open on a lanyard around their neck.

This is unsustainable — just like dairy cattle who don’t get milked will either dry up (if they are lucky) or sicken — the nation’s salads and veggies can’t exist without tending.

What the hell did people think was going to happen?

Many only cared about how ballsy trump presented himself to be. And that was somehow supposed to be enough or some magic instant fix-it. That kind of high is extremely short lived.

Btw - my husband is watching a documentary called “How the Nazis Lost the War”. I just heard the narrator’s voice saying “a God-complex rarely ends well.” Pardon the pun but - HOLY COW!!! Could be my next “quote of the week”*

*as one of the writers of my Indivisible group’s weekly “Call to Action” emails, they always start with a quote, and I wind up being the one who picks the quote. This one sure packs a punch!

This is the perfect scenario for them. Not only does WOKE California's economy get trashed. Not only do the racist xenoophobes get satiated. Not only does the union (UFW) take a big hit. But food shortages mean that prices will go up to the consumer, and further profit can be tacked on because "expenses have risen while supply has shrunk," and the few get even wealthier. Also, probably, shortages mean food banks have less to distribute to the poor, so they starve. Win, win, win, win, win for the GOP!

What a shithole country.

What kind of financial idiot would approve of such actions? How could you not see this coming? Not only does he want to destroy democracy, he wants to take the economy too.

How any magat can still support this loser, when he putting all of us in the poor house, is way beyond my comprehension. Wait didn't he promise lower prices? Hmmmm, yet another friggin lie. This is unbelievable. I am hoping I wake some day, and find this all a very bad dream.
