Don't Look Up
Thinking about that movie today. Its masterful if blunt. Not going to win any awards but it's a good watch. Its about two scientists that discover a large meteor, a ELE (Extinction Level Event) was approaching Earth and they were trying to get people to do something about it before it was too late but they couldn't get enough people to pay attention or even care. The world ended.
I say all that because that's what I feel like right now. People are screaming "THE SKY IS FALLING" yet not enough people are listening or even know it's happening or even care.
We have a sitting member of a state legislature being held hostage and no one is doing anything about it but complaining.
We have Republican controlled states sending THOUSANDS of troops to DC. Do you hear me. THOUSANDS. Why are a Republicans sending thousands of troops to DC?
We have a sitting president openly stating he alone will dictate the history we are allowed to talk about and to know about this country.
We have his EOs being given the weight of law. Republicans in Congress that would NEVER tolerate this behavior from a Democrat suddenly are super supportive of a big government nanny state that is dictating everything from what is considered patriotic to teaching our children their government approved spin on Christianity.
We are now faced with the most openly corrupt government we have ever had. They are personally benefiting from everything from Crypto to computer chips.
Not sure how many ways to say it:
We are through the looking glass.
We are way down the rabbit hole.
We are way over the cliff and in a cub scout summer camp weaved basket and the rope holding us up is dry-rotted twine.
We are in deep...deep...shit.
So, whatever you do, don't look up.
