Tim Miller on bluesky responding to JD's "ideas" about ending the Russia/Ukraine War:
"Everybody remembers that seminal moment in WW2 with FDR in his wheelchair rolling out the red carpet for Hitler discussing which portions of France he will get in exchange for peace."
Snarky Tim Miller is my favorite Tim Miller. Sometimes it seems that only a former repug can see into the absolute abyss of this administration's soul. Now I know that when Welker was interviewing little JD this morning, she couldn't quite respond that way. But is there any journalistic reason she couldn't have said, "No I'm sorry, Mr. Vice President, but that is not the way WW2 ended. FDR demanded a full surrender by Hittler."?
Of course not. But she wants to maintain access to this person so that he can lie to her some more.
