If this isn't a wake up call for term limits I don't know what is!!!

For me it is not so much the age--although that is a factor.
I just think that he should give others a chance at being a Senator, as he has had this role for over 40 years and it will be more by the end of his next term--if he outlasts it.

drive Democratic party heroes out of office whom their constituents would wish to re-elect---


However, he's way over any "age limits" which I might support....

Term limits may make sense for the executive branch, but when it comes to the legislature, I'd prefer to leave the matter entirely to the voters.

With Citizens United still in place, seats could be purchased with Super PAC dark money, and reserved for whatever candidate they selected.

Once one was termed out, the oligarchs would just pick a successor who would receive all their millions.

Iowa voters can see all the same pictures, and read all the same stories ...
Are even more familiar with all of the history, and character, enfolded ...

It's amazing how quickly we (or some of us) are willing to jettison the democratic process - when it does not deliver the results we wish for.
