What's Left For Krasnov To Realistically Be A Dictator

He owns the legislative branch.

He stacks the courts with people who are only loyal to him and if honest courts rule against him he always has his partisan Supreme Court to make it right. Also, if a court rules against him he just ignores the decision.

He is slowly turning us into a militarized state. Generals will resign rather than speak out against him and take a stand. He has Gestapo all across the country with more power than state and local police.

He is gutting our institutions, defunding them, firing good honest people.

When Putin invaded Ukraine, his plan was to take over Kyiv and replace Zelenskyy with a pro-Russian crony who would eventually become dictator. When he invaded Crimea he gained control there by holding a bogus election where he stuffed the ballot boxes.

Krasnov and his cronies have been rigging elections for decades, with his use of AI to gerrymander he can make it impossible for Democrats to win the House. With voter suppression, tossing Democratic voters off voting rolls, removing thousands of voting machines in Democratic districts, and numerous other tactics he is getting closer to making elections irrelevant.

We still have the blue states you say. What's to stop a dictator from arresting Democratic governors and replacing them with fascists?

Project 2025 is way ahead of schedule and that's why I can't stand to watch Democratic strategists explain on TV what Democrats need to do 14 months from now. We need to fight now. I f Gavin Newsom can draw maps to gain more than 5 seats then he should do that. What are the plans for other Democratic states? Magats will not stop with gerrymandering Texas.

Democrats better start thinking outside the box and not following the old practice of believing that throwing money at the election to get Democrats elected will work this time around.

Democratic voters are ready to fight and we need more leaders to lead us. Gavin Newsom and a handful of others are not enough. Time to fight now.

Want to know why the Democratic party is polling low? When there was an opening for a Dem to be the Democratic leader of the Oversight committee, the first time AOC was voted down, the 2nd time Jasmine Crockett finished last in the voting.

You ask the questions.
You see the lack of change from mass protests and unarmed resistance.
You know that the electoral process is eroded already. There is no hope at the ballot box. None.

The solution is simple - when the intolerable becomes the norm, the answer is rebellion and violence to meet violence.
If you don't want to fight, lay down and die as they roll over you or imprison you or simply shoot you (eventually that IS the outcome)...

We are already seeing concentration camps being built.
We are seeing political retributions and vengeance proscutions.
We are seeing abductions and prison camps overseas being used.
We are seeing our "leader" sell out his people and our allies for the benefit of Putin.

Pretending that we can ignore them and they'll get tired of being criminals or will somehow stop the feeding freenzy of hate and premission to the worst of the worst that is going on now is naive at best and deadly at worst.

Stop thinking someone is going to save us. They won't.

Fight or flight are rapidly becoming the two remaining options...

A military coup? Possible.

Pockets of insurrection? Sure.

But a blue vs gray, or red vs blue shooting war? Not when one side has an AirForce and nukes.

This is becoming the only obvious outcome.
These last 9 months have shown me how you get to a point of rage hating we were at in the civil war. I served this country, and my hate for the “enemies” we were told would end America then, pale compared to the hate I have for MAGA.
More so at the GQP machine and politicians raking in cash, cultivating the hate. But there comes a point that the Base are just as responsible for this hell, and can not claim “I was conned” any longer..
And the billionaires that have brought us here will not see a scratch. And the biggest culprit that plants and waters the hate, Fox, will be cheerleading, through it all, the likes of which the Dallas Cowgirls wish they could Match the level of, and Fox will thrive continue driving the hate. The only media allowed and required to watch.
“God Bless America” should be redacted from every object it is printed on. He/She probably despises us most. He/She ain’t blessing most of us, only the athlete that won on any given day that was chosen and needed His/Her attention more than kids being slaughtered daily.
Not what many want to face Moostache, but the hate machine is running on all cylinders, and are ramping it up to 11. Breaking points are here.
I hope I am extremely wrong.

Flight is what is happening already.

Military, academics and professionals in general are retiring, bullied out and quitting.

Many with the ability have left or are planning to leave.

Many support the changes and others are willing to adapt and make the best of the change.

There is a general and increasing degradation of institutions.

He is putting the military in the streets and no general is going to risk his retirement to stop Krasnov.

What happens when a Democrat wins a governor's race? The Magat legislature neuters his/her power.

Krasnov is working on neutering the state elections. he will allow the states to run the elections but he is proposing that the federal government collect the votes and count them. That is an actual proposal.

Before you say he can't, Roe was settled law.

States won't matter for federal elections anymore, the current congress won't count presidential elections if they are not a R and at the very least the House will not acknowledge newly elected Ds - and before people say they can't do it, in theory, yes, but the Supreme Court majority will back their plays when the time comes.

This fight was lost over MANY years ... This has been coming my entire adult life and every time this country enable republican fuck wittery, like Reagen skating Iran Contra, impeaching Clinton over lying over a blowjob, W lying the country into Iraq, the republicans running against their own friggen version of health care to have a sweeping mid term win, McConnell not allowing BHO to seat a SCJ, the line in the sand was eroded more and more, allowing the DT to be a thing.

This not about him, he just hijacked what "conservative" media and the republican party have been incrementally advancing since the mid 70s by giving the "base" the unadulterated hatred they were craving after decades of having it stoked in them the 1000s of Limbaughs and craven pols.

First of all, neither the current congress, or the next one will be responsible for certifying the 2028 electoral votes- it will be the congress sworn in on January 3, 2029.

If they refuse to certify, then at noon on January 20, 2029, the speaker of the house (or whoever is still serving in the line of succession) becomes the acting president.

Go look up how newly elected representatives can be challenged before being sworn in- the Supreme Court has no role or authority in that process, and the challenges occur when all members are considered representative-elect, so if one gets challenged, they can all be challenged- nobody is sworn in, and everybody is equal.

You too appear to have bought the myth that Trump is omnipotent and the states and the people are powerless, and will just stand by and let fascists do facist shit.

I’m sorry to hear that.

Sign up for the Democracy Docket newsletter for the latest litigations against this administration.

What’s happening is a game of judicial whack-a-mole, as injunction after injunction is filed and appealed, while the administration attempts to act with impunity, not always successfully.
